3Dresyn LMM RSB1 WD has these features and benefits:
- universal Water Debindable Reactive Solid Binder (spreadable butter-like paste at room temperature <30ºC)) for water debinding and sintering of metals and ceramics printed by Lithography-based Metal Manufacturing LMM
- ideal for dispersing, debinding and sintering ceramics, metals, polymers and exotic powders without defects since most of the debinding is done with water
- photoreactive solid binder (pseudoplastic non-flowing paste) with low melting temperature range (Tm 33-36ºC) and excellent flow after melting and before printing
- excellent dispersability and flow of post added micron and submicron metals, ceramics, polymers, such as polyimide, and exotic powders (including nanowires, microfibers, etc)
- powder (including nanowires, microfibers, etc) additions can be up to 60% volume concentrations (lower for nanoparticles, nano wires and microfibers)
- lower wetting and flow than 3Dresyn LMM RSB1 SD with high powder volume concentrations
- part of the binder has excellent water solubility (as well good solubility in solvents, such as in acetone, alcohols, and aromatics) for fast water debinding without imperfections nor cracking
- part of the binder is non-soluble but exhibits excellent thermal debinding without imperfections nor cracking
- controlled and reproducible process shrinkage which depends on final % powder and resin binder
- minimum expansion coefficient to prevent micro-fractures
- once combined with metal or ceramic powders is solid at room temperature with relative low slurry viscosity and good flow upon heating
- very high resolution of 20 microns of final products
- suitable for ceramic, metal, polymer, and exotic material LMM printing
- eco friendly process
- organo-tin free
Recommended feedstock or slurry mixing:
- Add the binder and your chosen ceramic, metal, or polymer powder with powder volumen concentrations of up to 50-60% to a a powder kneader mixer (or similar) at 50ºC for 30 minutes
Recommended debinding and sintering process of green parts:
- First step: water debinding at 65ºC for 5 hours
- Second step. thermal debinding:
- Insert flask in the preheated oven at 65ºC
- Ramp 1-2ºC/ minute up to 250ºC
- Hold at 250ºC for 60 minutes
- Ramp 1-2ºC/ minute up to 450ºC
- Hold at 450ºC for 30 minutes
- Ramp 2-5ºC/ minute up to sintering temperature
- Hold at sintering temperature for 180 minutes
- Ramp -2ºC/ minute down
