3Dresyn LMM Perfect Cast PC1 is our Heat Soluble / Meltable Flowable & Castable solid photopolymer for printing castings for Jewelry by Lithography-based Metal Manufacturing LMM
Features and benefits:
- photoreactive spreadable butter-like 3D resin paste for printing castings, which melts at 32ºC before printing
- once printed by LMM it has very low melt viscosity flowing like molten wax for 100% removal from the investment mold by gravity in the upside down position for 100% ash free burn-out: it is non rubbery material upon heating as state of the art alternative 3D resins
- bio based from renewable resources: >70% bio content
- supplied in cyan, magenta, yellow, black and white colors
- ideal for filigree ultra fine detailed printing with LMM printers
- Melting point as supplied before printing: 32ºC
- Melting point after printing and postcuring: 47ºC
- reduced brittleness for a wax material
- Typical printing speeds at different printing settings:
- exposure times 20-25 seconds for 50 microns z layers with low power <1 mW/cm2 LMM printers
- exposure times 10-15 seconds for 50 microns z layers with medium power 1-2 mW/cm2 LMM printers
- exposure times <10 seconds for 50 microns z layers with high power 5-15 mW/cm2 LMM printers
- tensile and flexural strength <5 MPa
- Young modulus <800 MPa
- elongation <2%
- postcuring in air or in water in a light box at room temperature for 1 hour is recommended for increasing the curing and melting point up to 47ºC
- castable with excellent burn-out without any imperfections even with cheap gypsums
- easy and clean burn-out with 0% residual ash content
- safe, without any toxic pictograms
- very low viscosity (<100 cps at 35ºC) before curing and printing
- no shrinkage during 3D printing
- 100% elimination by gravity off the mold for perfect castings
- no expansion during burn-out
- organo-tin free
- printable with LMM printers
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE IFU FOR LMM PRINTERS
CLEANING
- prints can be decaked by melting at 35ºC the uncured resin
- Rinse parts thoroughly under warmed water at 33-34°C. Allow parts to dry thoroughly after cleaning
POSTCURING
- Postcuring for 30-60 minutes in a light box will increase the cure and melting point up to its maximum: 47ºC
INVESTMENT CASTING
- Since the material melts completely at above 47ºC, any gypsum or phosphate investment can be used since it is fully eliminated by gravity in the upside down position
