Ceramic Slurry CS YSZ1 Yttria-stabilized zirconia has these features and benefits:
- solid (3% molar Y2O3) Yttria-stabilized zirconia feedstock at room temperature
- excellent dispersion and flow of high purity 3% molar Y2O3 Yttria-stabilized zirconia with particle size <2.5 microns (D100, ASTM B822)
-
ultra high Yttria-stabilized zirconia content with good flow at injection temperature (>160ºC)
- biomedical quality for minimum microporosity after sintering
- high purity with very small alumina content 0.25% Al2O3
- very low residuals: SiO2 ≤200 ppm, Na2O ≤200 ppm, TiO2 ≤50 ppm, Fe2O3 ≤50 ppm
- ceramic density >6.0 gram/cm3
- hardness (HV03) 1200-1300
- flexural strength 900-1100 MPa
- fracture toughness K1C 5-6 MPa.m1/2
- controlled and reproducible process shrinkage
- minimum expansion coefficient and wide temperature interval of debinding to prevent micro-fractures
- based on 3Dresyn EB1, Eco Binder for water debinding and sintering of Ceramic, Metal & Polymer powder slurries
- injectable in 3D printed durable or sacrificial injection molds
- ideal debinding and sintering without defects since most of the debinding is done with water
- part of the binder has good water solubility for debinding without imperfections nor cracking
- part of the binder is not water soluble but exhibits excellent thermal debinding without imperfections nor cracking
- controlled and reproducible process shrinkage
- minimum expansion coefficient to prevent micro-fractures
- relative low slurry viscosity, good flow
- very high resolution of 20 microns of final products
- suitable for metal slurry jetting
- eco friendly process
- organo-tin free
- supplied in temperature resistant containers for heating and melting the binder at 150-160ºC
Recommended injection of slurries or feedstocks:
- Slurries can be poured hot in metal cartridges of 22 or 25 mm external diameter for direct injection in low cost manual injection machines such as this type of manual injection equipment
- Slurries can be injected in 3D printed molds made with our durable and/or sacrificial 3D resins
- after demolding green parts are obtained
Recommended debinding and sintering process of green parts*:
- First step: water debinding at 65ºC for 5 hours
- Second step. thermal debinding:
- Insert flask in the preheated oven at 65ºC
- Ramp 2ºC/ minute up to 250ºC
- Hold at 250ºC for 60 minutes
- Ramp 2ºC/ minute up to 450ºC
- Hold at 450ºC for 30 minutes
- Ramp 5ºC/ minute up to sintering temperature of 1450ºC
- Hold at sintering temperature for 120 minutes
- Ramp -2ºC/ minute down to 640ºC
*Note: the final debinding and sintering cycle needs to be custom designed by customers to meet their process specifications; including their optimum debinding and sintering time, wihch depends on the thickness of prints, etc.
